FCC set to ban Huawei devices, others, under the Secure Networks Act

The Federal Communications Commission has announced its plans to ban all sales of new telecommunications devices in the US from Huawei Technologies Company, the ZTE Corporation, and others.

This is the first that the FCC has banned electronics equipment on national security grounds.

In a statement to FOX Business, the FCC said that “[they] remain committed to protecting our national security by ensuring that untrustworthy communications equipment is not authorized for use within our borders, and we are continuing that work here.”
